Raimund Bollenberger was one of Austria's leading civil law experts, university professor for civil and corporate law at the Vienna University of Economics and Business as well as attorney at law and partner at DSC Doralt Seist Csoklich. Educating and promoting young academics was always close to his heart and something he continuously pursued with full commitment in practice and academia. In his honor, DSC invites applications for the
Raimund Bollenberger Award
in the amount of € 5,000
for outstanding scientific work by young academics under the following conditions:
- Applicants must not have reached the age of 32 by the closing date for applications (see section 4). Employees of DSC as well as award winners from previous years are excluded from participation.
- Eligible submissions include doctoral theses in law dealing with a topic within Raimund Bollenberger’s main areas of work in Austrian private business law. If the thesis has been published, the publication must not have taken place more than one year before the application deadline (see section 4).
- Submissions must be made electronically as a file in PDF or Word format. The submission must be accompanied by (a) a short curriculum vitae and (b) certificates/reviews relating to the submitted work. DSC is entitled to archive submissions.
- Submissions must be received no later than 31 May 2026 at raimund.bollenberger.preis@dsc.at. The deadline may be extended by DSC for objectively justified reasons.
- The prize shall be awarded by a jury consisting of three members. The jury is entitled to split the prize between two applicants. If no submission is deemed worthy of the prize, the jury may decide not to award the prize. The jury decides by simple majority. Its decision is final and not subject to appeal.
- In the event of receiving the prize, applicants undertake to give a presentation on the topic of their work at an event organized by DSC. By submitting an application, applicants consent to the (including repeated) publication of their name and photographic images of their person, in particular on social media and on the DSC website, as well as to the electronic storage of the data provided in the course of the application by DSC.
